The Government has been providing funding to provide quality primary PE and school sport. Each school will receive £16,000 plus an additional £10 per pupil for the next two years – for Moorfield Primary this will equate to £17,095. See the chart below for a spending breakdown and the impact it has had.
As a school we already provide high quality Physical Education and sport, and our intention is that this funding will further enhance the existing provision in school.

Our funding in 2020/21 will be used in the following way:
Swimming- 71% of Year 6 left school having met the standard in 2019. We are working to ensure that this number is 100% by 2022. Swimming assessments for 2020 did not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be achieved by swimming lessons happening all year round, with the aim of children being able to start swimming lessons in Year 3.
